Default PTS? Building a Turbo S

I just got my allocation and have to make a color decision soon. Azzuro thetys metallic really jumps out at me. For nonPTS, I’m on the fence between Arctic Grey and Ice Grey Metallic. Is PTS worth the expense? Any experience or opinions on how PTS generally or my color specifically affect depreciation? This will be my first new Porsche so this process is living a dream for me. I appreciate any suggestions or opinions.

For reference, this is the beautiful 991 I found online that got my attention:

You have a confirmed PTS slot?

My dealer went through the build with me on his side and shows PTS close date next week. He didn’t say anything about a confirmed allocation, though.

Pretty sure you'll not have to make any PTS decisions.

I think it’s a reasonable question… I just don’t want to make a dumb mistake.

Absolutely take PTS if an option, and I LOVE your choice of Azzuro Thetys Metallic . . .However, if that isn't an option, the TTS looks great w/ Arctic Gray - mine is Arctic with Sport Design. To me, Ice Gray looks too much like white. I really wanted GT Silver, but didn't have a confirmed allocation, and someone backed out of the Arctic Gray car, so I got lucky . .

My GT3 is GT Silver - silver just looks right and classic on 911s. Many think GT Silver is boring, but to me, it's timeless / classic - I'm also not a fan of the fancy interiors, but would get as much black leather as possible with deviated stitching . . my TTS has yellow stitching, which looks amazing with Arctic - my GT3 has silver stitching, which would be my only choice witth GT Silver exterior.

. . . AND - carbon roof and mirror work well with Arctic or Silver . .

I don't understand the love for Azzuro Thetys. I feel like it's a wasted PTS slot if you can get it, which I doubt.

If you're going to get it, you might as well just get ice grey, it's another color that can't decide what it wants to be.

edit: My build if I couldn't get PTS in your situation is Arctic Gray with Racing yellow tach and sport chrono, stitching on the interior, and keep the PCCBs yellow.

That is exactly what I was thinking… Arctic Grey with yellow stitching. I thought the gauge and chrono would be too much, but I’ve changed my mind. If I can’t get the PTS, that’s the way I’m leaning. I love the wheels… they fit the build perfectly.

On thing I'm trying out - I really like the Porsche Design clock as opposed to the sport chrono - I bought it but haven't changed it out yet, so we shall see which one wins. Also, I've ordered a BUNCH of leather-covered pieces from Exclusive Design - i have the standard sun visors that SUCK - getting leather covered w/ yellow stitching. He's also doing the door sills and vents for me. Really quite reasonable compared to CXX or other factory options, and amazing quality. I wasn't able to spec this car - it was ordered by someone else with about every option imaginable, but overall nice. I really don't care for the interior trim in painted body color either, so already swapped some of it out to carbon, and I got a beautiful wheel from Protekparteu. . . bought both a Alcantara and a Leather one both with the RS paddles - highly recommended. .

Couldn't decide which one I like better, and they are easy to swap out. Something you touch every time you get in the car, so quite an important accessory, and really not expensive.
