Shift at redline

Hi, I was wondering how can I most accurately shift right at redline, any tips? It comes up so fast and it’s hard to look down to look at the rpm cluster when racing. Wondering if anyone had any tips or tools!

Why do you want to shift at redline?
Is it just to feel the tach bounce off the rev limiter?
Cuz peak power comes a couple of hundred RPMs before redline.

Aim to shift just shy of redline because of peak power as others said. It’s also difficult to nail redline every time since the revs hit so fast plus you run out of rpms since they are short to begin with.
992 the engine tone changes near redline and assumes an urgent wail which helps unlike 991 engine revs which sounded exactly the same 4-7k

You need to see a dyno graph and shift points, if you shift too early, you lose AVERAGE hp over the gear pull. Peak power is important, but I think average HP is also important. If you shift a bit above peak, then perhaps your average HP is higher because your closer to peak power on the next gear and not too low in the power band.
For me, we pushed the redline up a bit as I have upgraded turbos and they make power up top.
It takes practice to manually shift these cars... A shift light would be ideal, but you have to learn and listen to the engine and the response if you want to nail the shift. First gear being very hard as it eats through rpm quickly. Probably better to leave it in automatic mode, the PDK does a great job.

Starting around 3000 miles, and continuing for several thousand more miles, you really learn the car and it becomes more like an extension of your body.
