Default Installed GT3RS Paddles

I just installed the GT3RS paddles from ProtechpartsEU - and while the install for my skillset couldn't have done the swap in 25 minutes - and some of the clips are a real PITA to deal with - they are installed and everything is put back together.

I can't drive right now because it's winter but wanted to test them out. I turned on the car - put it in 'Manual' and tried to shift but nothing happened. I then put it back into 'drive' and clicked the paddle and it added an 'M' beside Drive on the dash. Is this the proper behavior meaning I can only put it in gears beyond 1st while moving or should I be able to shift through the gears while stationary?

That’s what I am trying to determine - if I turn on my car, put it in drive, hit the manual button and then while my foot is on the brake - shift it into 2nd, 3rd, etc… does that work?

How would you shift through the gears while it’s still in P?

If the M popped up, then I think you reinstalled it correctly my friend. It’s pretty fool proof.

I put it in Drive - so it’s not in Park - foot on the brake and press Manual - then click the paddles - stays in first.

Won’t click 2nd till it’s moving and it’s the appropriate gear,

The big thing with those paddles is the magnetic pull and strong clicking noise from my understanding.

Pics?

I had the GT3RS paddles (also from ProParts EU) installed on my 992 GT3. Had a shop do it (all my tools still in storage....sigh).

Works great. Very fun.

I have never driven my new Porsche - the Porsche dealership dropped it at my house, and the driver moved it in my garage. I have backed up my car 1ft. And sadly, I never got it out of Reverse. So it is clickier - but I couldn't tell you beyond that. They are lighter as well.

Yeah had Porsche Edmonton install the JCR valved center and Race Cats and then I tuned it with M-Eng. Stage 2. And 4800km on it.
