PDK gear selector in Aluminium

PDK gear selector in Aluminium
Hi guys
Just wondering if any users could help me decide between the standard shaver stick gear selector or the aluminium upgrade? Does the alumiunium upgrade look 'cheaper' than the standard piano black plastic?
Can't see one in person so I am a bit of a loss to decide which to spec!
With the alumiunium - does it light up like the standard one?
Any user feedbacks?
THANK YOU!

once the car is in drive you move on to the mode selector, then decide what to with the spoiler and exhaust note....you'll never think of that gear selector again...until you're back in the garage

The aluminum shifter avoids the Braun Shaver look. I spec'd it for my TS PTS Oslo Blue now sitting at the port it Emden

I've had both. Honestly you can spend $700 elsewhere. You touch it two to six times per drive and hardly ever look at it. BUT it does look nice and is really well made. If it's not a this or that situation, get it.

I really do not see a $700 difference.
Kinda prefer the stock shifter tbh.
I didn’t spec it…

I have to agree - I ended up speccing it for my Turbo S but I asked them to remove it back to the stock as I feel the stock actually matches the console better with the kurling and black piano plasticy look haha
Here are some photos for anyone else who is in this dilemma!
Don't get me wrong, it felt great to hold but you don't really use it i suppose and i realised it really isn't $1270 worth of upgrade to me when it doesnt match any of the other buttons !

It really is horses for courses but I am with jumaine. Before locking in spec I sat in showroom cars with and without the optional shifter and felt the stock was actually a nicer match to the interior.

The pictures really put the differences into perspective. I think the stock one matches better too.

Stock one looks better, save your money, put it into something else on the car IMO.
