Tons of TTS on cars.com and prices dropping

I kind of wish I did the heritage interior instead of the LWP... price was very similar. Heritage was hard to get, stop sale a lot. I do not like the leather steering wheel however and wanted to do more CF to match the exterior. But I do have a soft spot for that houndstooth!

Won't lie. Houndstooth AND the fastest 60-130 wouldve been sweet, angry. Haha

I bought my car a few months ago. Undoubtedly I could probably do a little better right now regarding Price. However, I trading a car in and undoubtedly I would’ve gotten less on my trade-in value. I also may have not been able to find the spec that I wanted. Overall, I feel good about my purchase.
typically prices will go down in the winter on sports cars. Let’s see what happens in March April, and May when people start getting the bug to buy a car.
that said, I’m still happy with my purchase.
interesting conversation as always here on Rennlist.
actually, the only thing I’m not happy about is the fact that I can’t drive it in this crappy weather. I live in the north east and it’s snowing here. I have taken my car out in the snow before and I do have all season tires. The thing I can’t stand is cleaning it after I get back in from the snow. I also don’t like leaving it dirty.
Oh well. First world problems.

And yet this 2023 TTS will sell over MSRP.

Because it's a fantastic, highly desirable build with an amazing interior that not too many people order! Sweet car, I'd love that one, as would many other people. Not much of a premium to get it and no waiting a year or 2 or.... never being able to get an allocation.
My point about this car was that market for the 992 TT/TTS is not homogenous. Like with all cars (Porsche or otherwise) there will be those depreciate faster (or not at all) compared to their brethren. To say that the market currently for the TT/TTS, a brand new one no less, is at MSRP or even below it is both underinclusive and overinclusive.
I mean, for example, this one went over 25k on BAT. Again, not saying this is representative of the market, but it is one data point.

I lust for the Turbo S. I’m being patient for my allocation. #1 at my dealer and waiting for the call. Weather sucks right now anyway but I know by March I’m gonna have major withdrawals.
However I nearly pulled the trigger on a chalk GT3 touring a few weeks ago. The GT3 Touring is probably my favorite if I’m honest.

....Lots of 992 TTSes in the 1000-9999 mile range, with the ownership history being the common pattern of: Owner #1: 3-4 months, less than 2000 miles, sold, Owner #2: 2 months, less than 200 miles, Owner #3: 6-12 months,2000-5000 miles, or something similar. Or 1-2 owners, same amount of mileage, maybe 1-2 years ownership, now on sale. And the asking price dropping $10k every few months.
That said, the S&P 500 stock index hit another big high today. We have even more higher equity and cash positions than ever before. I have had a new 992.2 on order since mid-2023.

You dudes need to pay today as your entry will be much higher later this year,

It's been cash easy for me and most all other 992 Turbo and GT3 owners. Most premium owners pay cash up front and don't care about the value of our cars. It's a hobby and not an investment.

You are a rookie. You need to get on the allocation list before the other guys. You can decline a 2024 Porsche 911 S/T if offered to you.
I already own a 2023 Porsche Turbo so I am good to go with the new 992.2 Turbo or maybe an upgrade?

anyone can get on a list. Getting the order is a different story. In this case it doesn’t matter as they won’t be difficult to secure

Uh. I take it you haven't been exposed to this vintage troll/character yet.
Don't bother. In fact add him to the ignore list.

I have a gently used 2024 TTS and want to get into a GT3T. I have the same concerns, hate to do the switch and regret it later.

Not same situation exactly but my plan was to hold a GT3 for a short time knowing the value would appreciate and get a Turbo S…..did that and no regrets as I drive it anywhere as its a more versatile car with less drama……no regrets….all of this depends on your use of the car in the end as far as satisfaction with a switch….

There is another issue though, and that's different suspension and far less torque but more feel...might be a gut decision!
Nice looking TTS btw.
