Default “Reduced engine power Driving permitted Visit workshop”

While out of town for Thanksgiving, the car (992 TTS Cab) started displaying this error whenever moderate or more throttle was applied. Took it to the dealer this morning, and they reported that there were a bunch of codes related to a failure to communicate with the 12V battery (which they said can happen after a jump start or use of a trickle charger, neither of which apply here). They cleared the codes and sent me on my way, but the error came back the first time I goosed the gas pedal, less than a mile after leaving the dealership.

Any thoughts on what this might be? The first appointment I could get with a loaner is not for another 2½ weeks, so I am debating whether I should try a different dealer to see if they can do any better in terms of diagnosis.

(As an aside, between this and the engine mount issue that took over a month to solve, I am really underwhelmed at Porsche quality these days. My 991.1 TTS coupe was so much better.)

The waste gate sensor malfunctioned on one of my turbos....same message and response to throttle.

Ever so slight difference in tonal quality of engine. They replaced the turbo no questions asked.

Thanks. How long did it take them to get the replacement turbo?

take to dealer and make sure you have no battery/ground cable issues. These cars are sensitive to low voltage

There was a ground point recall in 2022 for some cars. Some received a letter like this:

That might also explain the occasional flicker or complete black-out of the PCM screen.
