May I ask when did dealer contact you about the availability of the allocation for your order? My dealer told me they were expecting to see some allocations three weeks ago yet I haven't got a call from them...
I'm not sure exactly what happened, but I think my dealer converted an order that another customer cancelled. Allocation was originally from August. I didn't ask questions, tbh.
Four months from order to delivery date? I had to wait 14 months from the time I dropped off my order and paid a deposit. Ended up getting the car in Jan ‘23. Is Porsche pumping out 992 Turbo S models to clean out manufacturing parts inventory make way for a new model 992? Or, has demand fallen off for turbos? I am sure dealers are begging Porsche for GT models for the ADMs they can charge.

As I said above, I don't know exactly what happened, but I was given an order that was already in progress, in fact a week past freeze. Dealer did mention that this will be one of the last Turbo produced, although S will still be available. Parts shortage already exists: I ordered exterior trim in paint and it was rejected.

Unusual, beautiful interior. Nicely done, one of a kind.
Truffle brown is a very rarely optioned color from what I see, and it is awesome. Mine was truffle with chalk stitching and red belts for a nice pop of contrast.

Nice. I wasn't convinced from the configurator images, but I was able to see this combo in person at Newport Beach Porsche (on a C4S) and was instantly convinced.
