I should
if I owed this car one thing…well two things I’d be grateful for
One, there won’t be an argument about “fixing it” when all I’d want to do is never see it again
two and this one is probably more debatable…there’s few miles on it. Better if it was totally new but I’d be curious what kind of money the insurance company would pay vs new.

Yep, if that oil cap was still on and the engine verifiably good still, this would be a fun car to tinker with. Too risky with that cap missing. I feel someone poured something into the engine, they gave that car a beating.

the writing on the car is over the top. who has the time to articulate reason they are destroying the car plus have time to remove seats, etc.

I kind of wonder if the seller already parted out a few items like the wheels/tires and seats. Maybe he bought it from the insurance company once it was totaled.

I'm not an expert on car restoration or repair, but I'm curious, for those who do know more about this... what would it take to restore this car to functionality (other than the obvious new paint job required)?
If I bought something like this it would never be for reselling purposes, and I'd probably intend to keep it indefinitely and drive the hell out of it, so resale value is a complete non-factor for me --- the only thing I'd be concerned about is the cost of restoring the car to driveability.

With the oil cap gone, you'd be crazy to try restore this one, who knows what went into the engine $$$. If the engine was 100%, it could easily be restored. Screw paint, polish it and throw a wrap over it, bang done.
New screen, wheels, seats, etc.
