Default MY24 992 TTS New Build - Appreciate your advice!

Hi All,

I'm pulling together the final build for my new TTS (lock date mid-December, expected March 24 delivery) - it's c.95% there just need some help with a couple of points...BTW this has been an absolute gold mine of a forum for ideas & inspiration!!

Build Code: https://configurator.porsche.com/porsche-code/PR13LTA0

I'm wondering if the extended leather package (Dashboard trim panels, Center dashboard trim panel incl. Sport Chrono Stopwatch cover, Door pull handles, Bottom door panel trims, Bottom rear side panels) and the Seats backrest in leather are worth the expense? I've selected them in the configurator and they do look good, seems to complete the interior! If it's not selected, will there be a noticeable difference in colour on the doors & dash?

The initial idea for the interior was black (no constrast stitching) but after seeing the Slate Grey / Chalk combo, it was a game-changer!! Also looked at the Truffle Brown option but personally not doing it for me.

Any thoughts / photos welcome!

Cheers!

you've got lots of fun ahead of you and you haven't gotten the car yet

pass on the extended leather (covering everything) unless you feel you gotta have it - its strictly personal choice/taste

good luck with your choices -- Have Fun

Congrats on your incoming tts, I have a my23 and it’s a blast. Save your money on all the extended leather. Best bang for your buck on that is to add the seat back rests and the steering column. Other than that I don’t think there is any added aesthetic value with the rest of the extended leather options.

I had a Turbo S with the extended leather package (part of Exclusive Manufaktur leather interior), and IMO it is a slam dunk to get it. You also get door panels lower trim in leather, also an essential IMO.

Seat backrests in leather, eh, that one is tougher for me. I had it on my GT3 and while it was nice...not sure as necessary because you don't really see it.

This was slate grey with iceland green. IMO the slate grey is one of the best colors out there.

The slate grey steering wheel was probably the best looking on any Porsche I've ever had. If I manage to get an allocation I'm going slate grey / cognac.

Looks great. A lot like mine. I didn't get the extended leather and no regrets. Externally, I opted out of the sunroof as I never use one and added carbon fiber outside mirrors. Not noticeable far away, but look cool close up. Congrats and I know you'll have fun with it once you get it.

Compliments the black calipers, I think.

I read some advice from another member here to splurge on the interior bc that's what you see when you are driving the car - not the exterior. I did the extended leather door panels, dash, steering column with deviated stitching. Would do it again in a heartbeat

Thanks All! I've enjoyed the last 3.5 years with my Black-on-Black 991.2 TTS and looking forward to the new ride in my own spec.

Congrats. That's a solid build. One thing I can add is I regret not getting the sun visors in leather. It's a high touch item for me and it leaves me with a little bitter taste every time I feel the cheap vinyl. Why not get the smoking package? It's a free desk trinket. And I can't believe they have homelink as an option for you guys.

I have the same interior colour grey/ ivory and I love it! I tried to get extended leather but there was a ‘stop sale’ on that option when mine went to production. I ended up getting everything else I could in leather such as the steering column and sun visors. I will order extended leather again next one for sure but the car I have is not the worst thing I ever sat in 🙂. While I agree we don’t look at the car when driving, I love looking at it in my garage or out of my study window so I opted for every paint option I could get (mirrors/ intakes/ rear quarter vents, rear fascia and front slats in gloss black….tried for painted sport design which was again ‘stop sale’at the time. If you are on the fence on any option, you will never be sorry that you took it…so take it..the extra euro or two will lost while you are looking at your dealer added options/ charges and asking - “what is that prep charge ?…and what is that admin fee and…?”…

Paint the black plastic in GB, it looks cheaper otherwise IMO.

Be aware you will want to wrap the GB at a minimum as it will rock chip easily.

Another vote for the extended leather and the sun visors in leather. Visors you touch all the time.

Congrats and have fun building. Extended leather pkg is a great option to have except not really needed for seat backrests.
