Default Should I stop wasting my time waiting for a slot on Tts?

NY area locals

I’ve been put onto a wait list $1k deposit since Feb 2022 hoping to get a slot, as of right now I don’t think that slot will ever come. Mind you I bought a brand new cayenne gts from them in 2020.

Just like many many markets IE, luxury watch brands and leather goods. If you haven’t establish a long purchase history with them I don’t think I’ll ever get one? What’s your thoughts? The market is softening or should I cancel and get my $1000 deposit back?

Your dealer is certainly not loyal to you....and to increase your chances, I would start calling other dealership (even outside of NY).

Contact Porsche North Olmstead, they sell out of state and seem to get a lot of allocations.

As stated above, i'd say do a few calls / emails to other shops and increase your chances of getting an allocation from anywhere - locally they will service it no matter where it came from - some places don't even need a deposit they just pencil you in

Establishing dealer loyalty (especially in the NY area) amounts to "not much" -- (see post #12 below)

After you take delivery, put down a deposit to get on the list for another....just so you get to refuse it and move down the list...for whenever your mood hits you for another you'll already be on a list....

Good Luck - getting aggresive to get an allocation doesn't hurt, but expect to wait a while

Call around, no PTS left for 24, but still plenty of standard color cars to be built before the 25's

There are a lot of sub 2K mile 992 TTS for sale in the country that would require no wait... I just grabbed one on a whim and waited a week to have it shipped form NC to NY. There are enough available that I was able to get pretty close to the spec I would have ordered new. Just a thought if you don't feel like waiting.

Agreed, you may be waiting on ... nothing.
Get a used one, enjoy it and never look back. You'll have a car, you'll be happy, you'll post pics here, it will be the best life ever.

Life is very very short... get one now is my advice. My build went up $27k since I first got the car, just checked on the configurator. So glad I got it 18 mos ago instead of now. If you keep waiting, your price may keep going up, too.

I'm surprised they took $1k as a deposit. Its usually much more

The next round of builds for Jan-March is coming in a few weeks. Dealers will know what their Q1 production is then.

That being said- you're talking about a Feb build April/May delivery...if you can afford it just get a used super low mile car as a hedge.

I’m in NJ. In the NYC / NJ area, the dealers have absolutely no loyalty (too many deep pocketed customers with $$$). I’ve purchased tons of Porsches from my local dealer (one of the largest in the country) and they could give 2 f**cks about my business.

I searched around, called out of state dealers, and ended up finding someone right here on rennlist who connected me to a dealer where I got my TTS cab at MSRP. Do the work, search around, and you will find your car.

I was in the same boat as you. I ended up buying a cpo with 4K miles for less than current msrp. I still think similar spec examples are selling for at or more than I paid thankfully plus 2 extra years warranty

This is purely anecdotal but I was recently in your shoes and I found a build slot at MSRP in 2 days by simply calling around. My TTS delivers on 12/1

start at Porsche Fresno with @C.J. Ichiban - they get a bunch of slots and their team is solid. Just call the sales team or DM CJ. That’s what I did, although it turned out I didn’t need to tax their time bc a store closer to me got me an allocation.

put in the work, they are available.
