Question Brabus blow off adapter?

Hi! I've seen this product by accident: https://www.brabus.com/en/cars/tunin...-740-5000.html

If I understand correctly, it amplifies blow-off turbo sound. Has anyone used it? As I'm a total noob regarding engine mechanics, this might be a noob question, but could it mess up something with the engine / warranty, or it is only affecting the sound?

i have a thread on this as well. Brabus are the only VTA adapters I could find, but they are expensive for what they are. I reached out to Weistec, which is what I had on my Mclaren. They said they would need a valve so they could make them.

@Jking911 thanks a lot for the info! Keep me posted please in case you know more. Btw, do you know if it does void / affect warranty in any way?

Anything can void the warranty. Mainly depends on the dealer. I would just remove them before you go. Should be fairly easy. Have you priced them anywhere? Think i was quoted $700 to $800 for a set of Brabus. the Weistec on my Mclaren were like $300 for the set.

I have race exhaust, Do88 inlets and BMC filters. Tons of turbo blowoff noise, not the traditional Supra noise, but I can hear quite a bit of the turbo noise.

*I also have light weight package so that could also be contributing

my personal experiences in using BOV in the tuned 997.1 turbos was that most people reverted to stock bc the aftermarket ones were unreliable and failed quickly

these are just VTA that still use the stock BOV. Its just a spacer that gives the sound.

@Jking911 Is this spacer causing any performance drop? I'm thinking this way – if BOV is used for releasing the pressure when the gas pedal is off, it releases it to internal system, not outside. This internal system ca use the air velocity to help build boost pressure again. If we release it out, we don't have this velocity anymore. Do I understand that correctly, or am I overthinking and this spacer does not affect performance in any way?

overthinking. BOV recirculates boost bleed off during off throttle. It is closed during on throttle. The VTA (vent to atmosphere) space just bleeds some of this out, but still recirculates as well. No performance change. Just a billet spacer that when BOV opens, it can vent out which gives the sound.

3 bolt holes comes with longer screws and fits between BOV and turbo housing. The side holes is the VTA part, and center section is the recirculate part.
