Default How does this happen?

A buddy nodded off on the interstate in his 992 Turbo and awakened after hitting the left (outside lane) concrete barrier. The front left corner lifted for a second, and he came down hard. No broken glass. No airbags deployed. He was doing around 55-65 mph. Lower front left corner is scuffed, both left tires show scuffs, and both left wheels were scraped all the way around. The full circumference of both wheels have rash. Zero other damage. No mirror damage, no fender damage. Car doesn't pull, no lost tire pressure. Seems strange to me.

Because dividers are usually shaped the way they are to get cars to do what your friend's car did in order to prevent a car from flipping over them and he also got lucky.
