992 TTS ride quality vs 991 TTS
Hey Guys,
looking to upgrade from a 2015 TTS Cab to a 2024 TTS Cab and wondered how the ride quality compares between the two for those who have either driven or owned both? I would not get the SPASM option, just standard pasm. Ride comfort is important here in WI with our terrible roads following our winters.
thanks in advance!

I had a 2014 tts, 2017 tts, both had DSC controllers which makes the ride SO much better it allowed me to lower the cars on our really bad roads and still have a good ride, my 21', 23' and I am sure my 24' 992 tts ride MUCH better than the 991 series, and even lowered the ride is much smoother, and the 992 just takes bumps and bad roads better, BUT when the 992 DSC controller comes out it will be in my cars because it makes that much difference vs stock. Get your 24', you will not look back I drive in the winter until it snows

991.1 TTS to 991.2 GT3 to 992 TTS
The 992 Turbo S is amazing. I’m driving the same SoCal roads that I did in our 991.1 TTS and 991.2 GT3. The ride feels stiffer and closer to a GT car than my 2015 TTS, but it is exactly how I would want it to be, and if I’m heading to a great on/off ramp or a tight corner (or on canyon roads) I can reach over and hit the PDCC button for even more control. I often drove our GT3 with the suspension in Track mode, so I like a stiff but compliant car. The 992 is a very comfortable daily driver, yet there is strong performance on tap when needed from the drivetrain and the suspension.
I did not spec Sport-PASM on the 992 based on car reviews and on input from a 992 GT3-owning GM at one dealership who spec’d his daily driver Carrera 4S without S-PASM, and a Sales Manager at another dealership. Surprisingly, the roads around here are not that great. I’ve driven a 992 Turbo S at the L.A. PEC back to back with a 992 GT3 and, as I’ve seen on canyon roads, control in the TTS excellent. After I had put about 2,000 miles on the car, the sport exhaust sound and the car’s performance seemed to open up. Compared to the 991.1 exhaust note, which I thought was very quiet, the 992 exhaust note is deeper and louder particularly in Sport and Sport+.
Unfortunately, it has been five years since I drove our 991.1 TTS, so my comments are based primarily on the 992 generation. Others’ provided good input on this thread. Perhaps your Sales Associate can recommend a new or preowned car in stock that would reflect the ride and handling of the 992 TTS. There are a few Turbos and Turbos on the resale market that might be available for a test drive.
