If your car is at 3650 with 18 ways I would guess than the avg TTS is around 3680-3730 lbs. The glass moonroof being the biggest difference, then the rear seat delete.
sorry bit of a brain loss there, the car is 3560lbs. I guess if I’m going to post important data like this I should be accurate.
3560lbs is the correct weight with lightweight and 18ways, half a tank fuel.

beware of the BMC filters. The red composite rubber turns into licorice particles after a few years. It wasn't fun clearing my intake tract and MAP/MAF sensors of the debris in my 997
Care to expand on this? Do I need to change the filters every couple of years?
Finally had time to do the clutch relearn. The car seems to be shifting a bit harder and possibly faster.
The DA finally came down here too so I did some 60-130 hits to see if there would be an improvement. 60-130 came down a bit, surprised me some. I’ve been running a different pump gas 93 shell, so far it seems better than 94 here.
Going to load up that ms109 tune tomorrow and see if that trans error when shifting into 4th is gone now.

So this updated 94 tune - is it custom tune or does M Engineering have a tune update others could use too?
Also, on other tuned turbo cars, the 93 with ethanol (e.g., Shell 93) produces noticeably more power than the Canadian ethanol-free 94 (e.g., Chevron). Have you tried 93 with ethanol? Here is an interesting comparison of fuels too:
My mustang coyote buddies swear by shell 93 (Canada). I gave it a try and zero timing retard in my logs, but it was also at night and ambient was 14c… cooler air may have helped too.
Max I started with a generic M Eng tune and have been working with Scott at M Eng to revise and tweak the tune. I think we did about 4-5 revisions. I send Scott a log and he sends me back a new tune after he tweaks it. I’m running about 28.5 degree of timing and ~24.5psi of boost on the top end. (If I’m reading the manifold pressure correctly minus atmospheric).
I noticed on my logs from lastnight with the better DA and I made another 1.5psi of boost. That would help explain why the 60-130 improved. (I think along w/ the clutch relearn).
These cars are definitely fun to tinker with! The performance on just pump gas is pretty strong, I haven’t had anyone beat me pump vs pump except maybe a 720/765 Macs.
Love this thread! Looking forward to results on Meth injection!!
Any tips on the meth? I primarily want to use it for cooling and to keep the IAT's down.
What improvements did you notice with your build, meth vs no meth?
Did you notice any improvement with the intercooler? Does the IAT not climb as hard with it? I have the CSF intercooler here to be installed in the near future.

Huge proponent of Meth on this platform - specifically because of the huge IAT benefits. Case in point:
It’s hot as ***** out here in South Florida, but I can get a 50 degree drop in IAT’s. The difference is staggering, but the temperature drop (combined with an increase in effective octane and to a lesser degree some added fuel) enables a more aggressive tune. The intercooler upgrade does not add power by itself, but does allow a more generous tune because the aftermarket intercoolers reduce heat soak longer and more effectively than OEM parts (theoretically better than OEM because Porsche OEM is very good). It’s so hot here so much of the year, I view Meth as almost a safety mod for the motor. I see you’re doing all your mods yourself - I respect that. It’s not my approach though, especially when it comes to the Meth install. I wanted an absolute professional to do that work because I wanted the most flawless install possible for such a game changing mod, and what could also be the most catastrophic mod if done wrong.
Looking forward to your results in the real world. I’ve seen videos of others with the 992 and Meth and turbos, and I was disappointed by their numbers. Hoping to see your candid, progressive approach yield better results.
^ Thanks for the info. I likely won't get around to installing the meth kit till winter. (I dont want to have the downtime in the middle of our short Canadian car season)
Loaded up the MS109 map again after the clutch relearn, still the trans error into 4th gear and my 60-130 was 1 second slower. Hoping to hear back from M Eng with a solution early next week.
I want to get the MS109 file dialed in and hit the drag strip for street legals.
I did a couple pulls tonight with the pump gas file and was able to do my first 9sec pass on the street. Still spinning 1st gear pretty bad and a bit into 2nd, but it pulled hard and did a 9.98 which is nice! I think this car has a 9.8 in it at the track, with pump gas and good DA.
