Default Getting a lot of stones in the Turbo air intake

Hi!

I got my brand new Turbo S two weeks ago. After doing only 500 km I noticed I get a lot of small stones in the Air intake on the sides.
See my picture. Does anyone have any tips around this? Seems like a small mistake from Porsche.

common issue that does not appear to have any consequences. Porsche seems to have anticipated this.

I wonder if a well-crafted framed set of these screens would be restrictive at all.

Known issue. Some people have tried some hacks to get around it. Believe it or not, I used a pick tool (like a dentist pick) that I kept in the garage and would periodically pick out these little stones. PITA.

My intakes look the same. Maybe half dozen little pebbles. I lick my finger and the stones stick to the finger, and I extract them while on the phone with my dealer, asking for GT3 allocations. Porsche in their infinite God-like wisdom and in pursuit of 20% ROS have decided to raise the MSRP of the TTS $23k from the price I paid.

You had an awesome oak green tts. Did you have paint matched air intakes? If so would you do it again or go with the black plastic. If I go A1 black, I’ll go plastic. If I wait long enough for a pts, oak green or dark olive might be in play.

Something like this could work, I saved this link when I was only just considering getting a 2022 Turbo S. Never bought the vacuum though as I do what others do, just wet my fingers and pull them out. No big deal at all compared to most of the really big deals I'm dealing with now.

I had painted intakes. I’d do it again - the painted intakes look better than raw plastic IMO - even with a black car. I would get them PPF’ed though. Those vacuum cleaner intakes really get hammered.

Agree. I have GT Silver with painted intakes. I am debating switching them for CF because I have CF mirrors and roof, the only exterior carbon fiber on my car. I think the CF intakes will balance out nicely, but I really like the look of the painted intakes.

Then again, it's easy enough to switch between the two looks.

I dont know. I saw a sick black turbo s with the matte black plastic and the combo looks pretty slick. Black with black painted intakes lacks contrast
