Default PASM Question

If PASM is listed under standard features why is there an option to add PASM as well?

The optional item is Sport PASM (SPASM). That option lowers the suspension 10mm from stock.

If you are planning to lower your car or do anything with suspension there is no reason to order the car with that. You can save the money and use it towards your aftermarket suspension upgrade.

There IS a reason: it’s engineered by Porsche, and the Sport PASM option involves more than just lowering the car. I would not want to do after aftermarket suspension mods on this car, given that it’s a complex car with respect to the suspension and how all the systems work together to deliver the performance.

My Porsche tech said that there is more calibration to be done with ride height if you get the lane change assist and distance control wart when you do lowering springs. So calibration has to be done

Ehem... I love my distance control wart. Actually, I agree with you, it does look kind of weird but I like dynamic cruise control and it can't be used without the wart. On my S-Class the sensor is behind a piece of flat glass in the front rill that's beautifully integrated.
