Painted rear fascia?
Has anyone done this? Crazy as air sounds, there is a stop sale on the “paint exterior trim” or whatever it’s called…but I can paint rockers - rear intakes - mirrors in my order leaving front grills and rear fascia in gloss black to me when the car arrives. I think I would leave the front as is…has anybody seen the rear fascia painted with the standard spoiler in body color? I find the flat black looks unfinished for a 300k$ car…and I think body colour would finish it nicely. Any done it yet or seen it done? Any other ideas?

I would try to wrap it.

I actually think the rear fascia painted in body color looks more incongruous than when left in matte black. The lines of the fascia don't seem to follow the form of the rear bumper - it appears to be an interchangeable afterthought rather than a design element. The Techart rear fascia has some body color elements that look more integrated if that makes sense

Yea, I would do it in gloss black, it doesn't look that great when body color. The GB will match the rest of your cars GB painted. Easy to wrap that.

If you can't get the rear painted, you might be surprised with how nice it ends up looking in matte black anyway. I did it this way and much prefer it to having it painted. Also, once you own your car for a while, you may not car about stuff like this. You'll be driving it a lot and it's fine the way it is, matte.

I went body color and like it when it’s clean. I admit the rear is not my favorite part of the 992 design. All the panel interfaces and 3D PORSCHE logo make crevices to clean in the dirtiest part of the car. At some angles it does look like an add on, so if I was optioning it today, I would go matte black, which I suppose I could still do with a wrap.

All the photos and opinions are a huge help - thank you. I have very little design sense yet I understand that the slightest of nuances can really change the appearance of the car. For instance, black painted vs body painted slats on the rear deck is another thing I will lose sleep over until my order locks in three weeks - then do I paint the front grills that are unfinished as well. I had my perfect spec (for me) which has three stop sale notices when my allocation was offered last month (painted sport design package - extended leather - heritage interior ) SO….scouring the net and the forum looking for ideas from others and make this car as special as it can be to me suggesting option cues I never even thought would make a difference as some guys are good at this. My wife will drive it…so ‘classic’ theme - picture Gt Silver - turbo wheel - gloss black window trim - glass roof - lowered - painted mirrors, rockers and side intakes - fins on rear deck in gloss black or body colour not sure - grey/ dash with light grey (ivory) seats …then the whole debate about rear fascia which the suggestion to apply gloss black film am excellent idea.
I am NOT a “what colour should I get” guy but these details I need a hand on this. All of your suggestions are welcome and appreciated.

I have TTS cab coming in about a week thanks to an amazing rennlist member. I already have the shop doing my ppf (not just a detailer, full mechanic, etc) set to do the exterior paint package in high gloss black around the rear exhaust / front.
They’ve already done this before for others who couldn’t get it factory. Not worried about a loss in value (it’s a factory option anyway) due to not matching sticker exactly and TTS is not a gt car, so it will depreciate over time anyway.
