Stay away unless it was a theft recovery over 30 days with no damage. Otherwise that means the damage was so excessive that it wasn't worth the repair. Most insurance companies will pay from 60%-80% of the value of the car to repair meaning that 256k car was badly damaged.

If you have to ask a forum, then this is a game you don’t want to play.

Car is listed for 156k, I think it needs about 20k of body work needed (needs new bumper and a bit of work to convertible trunk cover and back fender). So that would put me at 176k

A clean title 2021 turbo s is probably worth 260k. So is a repaired car with a salvage title worth about 175k?

Porsche cars don't bring solid money with messy titles . If the repair goes good you will have a nice car for less than retail . If as many repairs go there is lack of perfection you will be with an unsellable car , at almost any
price ?

155 is way too high.. it would have to be under 100k; these types of cars are very hard to sell

There can be all sorts of hidden damage underneath the body work that will not be visible to the naked eye or pictures - and that's not even including actual damage to the frame, in which case I wouldn't even bother.

The only way to attempt this with any kind of precision would be for a Porsche Certified Collision Center to first do an inspection to get a "true" estimate.

I would buy it for 100k, resale is always going to be an issue, however if you would want to keep it for yourself and make it a supercar by adding big hp, you may get a deal

Post some pics or a link?

what specifically happened.

if you’re planning to keep the car if you can get in at 150k or under fully rebuilt. I would do it.

Clean ‘21 Turbo S can be had under $250k now, so I agree, need to get it for $100k or under.

When it comes to high value cars, I wouldn’t touch it at almost any price. Here’s why: People who have the interest and the wherewithal to purchase high value cars do not need to find, or have any interest in getting a vehicle with a proverbial red letter attached. Ex: If one has $150K in disposable income to spend on a salvage title car, you are probably in a position where a bit extra ($100K) is chump change to get a new and unmolested version.

Looks like fairly superficial damage, with the amount of damage visible to the bumper I doubt it has damage to the frame.
I don't plan on selling it, would probably upgrade turbos/exhaust/IC and tune and drive it

Doesn't look like a lot of damage so I'm wondering why they would have totaled the car.

With uni-body construction and the various metals that Porsche uses, reconstruction can be quite a challenge. The displacement between the convertible top cover and the left rear fender tells just how far this damage extends into the heart of the car. This repair, if done correctly, isn't going to be just cosmetic.
