992 turbo S oil capacity
About to do an oil and filter change. Is the oil capacity 8.5 qts or 9.5 qts? Im finding contradicting levels on my searches. Any help is appreciated.

Pretty sure it was 8.8 quarts with the filter I'll check when I get home, but pretty sure that's what I just put in, had to get the X3 or 3x whatever stupid oil Porsche called for from England

Is the oil pan made out of plastic? Why would Porsche do this?

I don’t know the official answer, but the site below, while not Porsche related, seems to talk about major benefits of going that route - including weight savings and higher crack resistance. It seems like it could be more of a plastic composite (nylon, fiberglass etc).

Porsche wanted some of the "glory" BMW had achieved with its cooling system plastics.......

I had to pick up another quart and ended up using between 1/3 and 1/2 of it to get the fill line to the top.

Is the oil fill 8.3 liters or 9.5 quarts as another poster mentions for Turbo S?
