Feedback on CSF intercoolers
Hey all,
I am looking for some feedback on the CSF intercoolers for the new platform. I already have fabspeed sport cats and am purchasing the m engineering tuner suite and would like to add the CSF intercoolers to round out my upgrades for now. For those who have the intercoolers how has your experience with them been? Are they truly worth the investment? Also I plan on tracking the car multiple times a year. Any insight is greatly appreciated thanks.

I am curious as well. I’m wondering if there were any performance gains from it. I understand it can help to maintain power levels from heat soak but trying to see if there are any other changes. Basically will the car make any more hp or tq on a dyno on a tuned turbo s with exhaust or remain the same.

Pretty sure intercoolers are about keeping gains rather than making them...

Just heard back from Jerry at M engineering and can confirm that the intercooler system will not provide any added horsepower. It only helps with maintaining low air temps especially when tracking the car for long periods. I will be tracking my car a lot so I ordered the intercoolers along with the stage 2 tune. When you add power that means more heat so the intercoolers will help keep the temps down.

Only odd deal about the CSF is the increased pressure drop over OEM. Obviously they Heat Exchange much better than OEM, but it’s rare to have more pressure drop in the overall design of an Hx. Must be a new norm with the new style core.

OnfireTTS I specifically asked how they can make up for the slight drop in boost pressure and they said that tuning the vehicle will negate any drop in pressure. Basically if you are going the intercooler route then it is beneficial to remap the engine so you don’t lose any boost throughout the rev range. In the long run I’m not sure a boost drop of .5 to 1 psi would even be felt or noticed with the stock intercooler given how much they increased boost by in the 992 compared to the 991.2. Will report my findings in this thread once I have the intercooler system installed and have the tune completed. Cheers.

Its nice to see some supporting posts to comments I have made in the past. YES, aftermarket intercoolers will cool better than the stock intercoolers with larger surface area. However, the stock intercoolers work very well and even on tuned vehicles the larger intercoolers don't do anything to give you more power. Even on tuned cars its unnecessary. Where it comes into play is repeated pulls or track use or in environments that are very hot and/or humid to help with heat soak. For the everyday guys who want more power and aren't tracking their cars in New Mexico, it isn't worth it. Again, once you get into bigger turbos or meth injection, then its a different scenario, but for us weekend warriors its just not necessary.

Like father, like son.
Eric Brahms, 42, of Manhattan, was arrested last week at his wife's hospital bedside as she gave birth, charged with fencing high-end goods bought by a network of scammers using credit card information stolen from diners at spots like Smith & Wollensky and The Capital Grille.
His dad Maurice Brahms, 72, was sentenced to three years in jail in 1980 for tax fraud at discotheques Infinity and New York, New York, according to a news report at the time.
He and three other owners pleaded guilty to skimming $2.5 million from cash receipts at the discos, avoiding some $1.3 million in taxes. The feds were tipped to the scheme while investigating corruption at legendary hotspot Studio 54. Maurice Brahms, who lives in Harrison, N.Y., did not respond to requests for comment.
His son Eric was one of 28 people busted in the $600,000 credit card scam, including several waiters at the high-end eateries who used electronic "skimmers" to steal customers' credit card information.
