Do these stay connected to the car 100% of the time and then you just disconnect the clip when not on the charger?

Thanks, aware of this, but i got different opinions even from dealers, some say to put the negative on battery and some including manual says to put on pole on side of body.
I was wondering what most people do with lithium battery.
This year i did the 12 volt, but had to reset because of power failure, want to avoid in future

I use the negative post on the body, that is what the manual says to do.
i think if you do it this way there is some surge or protection perhaps?

Booster on negative post for sure. Trickle charger can go on post or cross bar. I have seen some people hook up the eylets to the directly to positve and negative terminal too.
Negative post definitely charges the most reliably and safely.
