Before equipping my car with XPEL/PPF, I have the following question.
Recently, I noticed on a 992 that the protective film on the rear bumper, below the licence plate, does not consist of one part. A seam is clearly visible underneath the licence plate.
My question is whether this is normal or should the PPF guys do a better job?
I've head this argument but you have to understand WHY you are protecting the front in the first place. You want the thing to withstand normal wear and tear and look 'new' all the time. Sure you can repaint it in 3 or 5 years, but it's going to continually be getting ****tier and ****tier until you finally cave to get it done.

Lazy installer. That’s a terrible job which should be redone. I’ve doing wraps on my cars for 15 years (about 1-2 cars a year) and I’ve never seen such a seam.
