Default Aftermarket CL rim commendations for 992 TTS?

Hi,

I'm planning to buy a winter rim/tire set for my incoming 992 TTS and I'm debating between getting the OEM one, versus an aftermarket option. I wonder if anyone would have good recommendations for CL rims being sold in the US. I personally like the BBS FI-R CL but I can't seem to find a dealer in the US selling a set that's compatible with the 992 TTS. That said, I'm not locked into that option. Ideas are welcome!

Thanks in advance!

As far as im aware BBS has not got around to doing staggered setups for 992.

I have been obsessing about wheels for a while note the following:

1. Vossen - some classic styles but you have to go forged for centerlock. I have some "hybrid-forged" wheels which are only available in 5 bolt designs.
2. HRE - a little more ornate and pricey but some great designs for CL
3. Forgeline - solid and clean with better turnaround time than others
4. BC Forged - value forged option as they are made overseas - not a bad choice for winters
4. ANRKY - seem to be pricey for a winter rim
5. Brixton Forged - nice design but cant speak to durability

Good list. BBS-FIR would have been my choice but BBS can't get off their *** to do anything these days. I got e88s for my 993 and it took 7 months to finally get them. Beautiful product and BBS arguably make the best wheels you can buy...but S-L-O-W

Forgeline is an enormous value. I was going to get some, but changed my mind because I just didn't love their designs.

Personally, I went with HRE P101SC/frozen polished dark clear. Not fussy looking and a pretty classic design for 911s. HRE also have a ton of finishes which is another reason I went their way. They are stupid expensive, which is the main downside. In my experience, they are high quality wheels.

I like the look of many of the Brixton wheels. I just don't know enough about them.

Not sure how much money you want to invest in winter wheels. If you are budget minded, I think Foregline is a good choice.

Either OEM or HRE.

This is a 200k+ car, it deserves no less

Been using Forgeline the last 7 years now, had many of the major manufacturers thru the years, Forgeline just offered me the best delivery, and most choices in finishes

I would add Strasse Wheels to the mix.

A good place to start on your search is to establish a budget. Typically speaking, my clients who ask me for winter wheel options don't want to spend as much as they do on their summer wheels. Once you've establish that it will help you narrow down the choices of aftermarket wheel brands. There are so many in the industry so narrowing it down becomes helpful. A variety of top notch wheel brands have been mentioned in this thread already: HRE, ANRKY, BBS, Forgeline. If you'd like, feel free to send me a DM and I can guide your through the selections and help you find the right choice for you.

Litespeed racing rs5rr would be a great alternative to BBS or a more conservative rs5 which can be made in magnesium

On point...

I too have been agonizing over wheel choice for some time now.

If I may add a couple of comments:

Vossen has some beautiful wheels...but to me their main drawback is that I could pull up to a streetlight in a quarter-million dollar car...and have the same wheel brand as the honda civic next to me.

HRE is the Rolex of wheels...not the flashiest, but unquestionably handsome...They are also classic, proven, and will hold their value better than just about any other brand should you want to re-sell them down the line.

Anrky - The "let's get a little bit racier" HRE's...and are also a little more expensive.

Brixton - You've pretty much hit it on the head... I LOVE Brixton's designs, they have gorgeous wheels. But durability....and customer service related to any durability issues...seems to be unknown.
