Default 14 Way Seats

Has anyone ordered a TTS with 14 way seats? The only reason I ask is that I've been through most of the threads and I can't recall seeing one car with the 14 ways. Does everyone just magically fit in the 18 way seats or are people choosing them because they worry that they won't be able to sell the car as easily with 14 ways (if that's even a thing)?

The Adaptive 18 ways come standard in the S, optional on the non-S. You can downgrade (I guess you could call it that) to the 14-ways if you don't like the tighter constraints of the 18-ways - after all they are a more sporting seat with shoulder support bolsters, etc. Some people just don't fit in them and feel comfortable - therefore the 14-ways are still available in an S. As for resale - don't think it matters that much. The second owner of a car has to make some concessions.

For my part, I went the other way. Since I have a TT, it came standard with the 14-way and I opted to pay extra for the 18-way. Since I track my car a fair bit, I prefer the added adjustment for the side bolstering on the lower cushion and seat back. It gives me the best of both worlds: a comfortable seat with the side bolstering opened up and inflated lumbar support, and a very supportive seat for the track with tightly snug side bolstering and deflated lumbar support.

One of my tts was purchased from a dealership that I didn''t order, someone ordered the car and couldn't pay for it, they ordered 14 ways seats, appearantly they said he was a big guy. So I have a car with 14 way, 2 cars with 18 way and one with carbon buckets, 14 way offers less support but "slghtly" more comfort than the 18 way IMO

I love the 18 way seats. They fit like a glove. They slowly hug you while you drive off. Maybe the best seat I've ever had.

One big advantage of the 14-way it come with backrest in leather, the 18 way comes with grey-ish brushed aluminum plastic, to cover it you need to pay $$. I sat in both, 18 way is better, shoulder support is much better, and a must if you plan to track the car.
