Quick upshifts in automatic mode
Hey All,
Finally picked up my chalk TTS the other day and I have to say what an incredible car. Porsche really took quite a leap from the 991.2 platform in terms of aesthetics and performance. One thing that I have noticed is how quickly or early the car will upshift, usually around 2500-3K rpms. Is this to help fuel economy possibly? I’ve noticed the upshifting happens earlier than my previous turbo s. Can’t wait to be able to switch into manual mode once I have the engine broken in. Cheers.

It seemed my 987 and 981 both would be in 5th gear at 30mph all the time in normal mode. Needless to say the sport button became part of the start-up checklist. Fuel economy seems to be the other reason these cars are so eager to upshift when putting around.
