Cool Finally - an allocation is actually MINE - and Lifetime Apple Car Play removed as opt

Having previously ordered many different Porsche's in the last decade, it didn't occur to me that the impact of so many manufacturers and suppliers would have such an impact to dealer allocations - obviously I didn't think it through as it should have been obvious. Anyway, the MY22 allocations starting releasing last week and the one I thought was a 'given' became 'hard to get' - but now I am told I am all set with my build set to start in AUG (gulp) and a proposed deliver in December. Don't care as long as it gets here safe and exactly as I want it.

Read several threads about the delays many of you have experienced in the past year so I will temper my enthusiasm a *tad* and expect slips in these dates.
But HALLELUJAH I can finally get my Turbo Cab dream to come to life:

or this subtle variant:
PNMN6ZB4
Also noted that now the $360 'fee' for lifetime Apple Car Play is not longer 'valid' for my config - so hopefully they realize that charging someone who spends large sums of money for a car to do X that it should keep doing X after the first 3 years...

Apple went on record with BMW saying there is no such thing as a subscription to CarPlay, I have never heard of Porsche trying to pull the same BS as BMW.

Yes I have a 2021 and a 2022 on order and saw the change to 360 after 3 years on the 2022, but on my 2021 I can not find anything where it says free for lifetime in writing with the cars paperwork

There's nothing that says power steering is free for lifetime either. It's just understood.

I'm glad if Porsche has backed off this stupid cash grab.

I got power steering plus, it was NOT free. Probably would have manual steering without that option. The steering wheel was probably extra too

I love the build - the "subtle variant" isn't so subtle, but I think you should go for it.
