Default Sitting at Emden Port for 21 days so far

My car has been sitting at Emden port since April 1st. My dealer says it’s just waiting on a ship, which is in port now. Anyone else have their car sit that long with no movement? I thought I had read two weeks was the max.

Mine got to the port on March 23. It left on April 8. Just arrived at Baltimore port. It really depends on when the ship arrives. If your ship is at the port it will be leaving shortly.

get the name of the ship from dealer and you can track it.

google the port and it will show you ships at port etc. Click on the ship and you’ll get some helpful info.

16 days in early Feb, in the snow. I know this is easy to say but your car will be fine other than the wait, I was worried that sitting there that long maybe an issue, but my car arrived perfect in every way, a little dirty because I never let the dealers prep my cars

Default April 7 Emden Arrival to April 30 Load

Per Track Your Dream, production of my Turbo S was completed on April 6 and it arrived at the Emden Port on April 7.(!) It is not due to be loaded on a ship until April 30 - heading to Baltimore. Seemed like a long time to me, too. Having read about a few new cars needing software updates or recall fixes, I wonder if any of that is done at Emden during the waiting period. BTW, I've not seen any production pictures yet. I've read that they might not show up until a few weeks after production...if at all.

I found where it says the 23rd is the expected loaded on ship date. I would also love a production pic, production ended March 31 and no pics yet.

Scott: Mine was scheduled to be at the port for 3 weeks. A boat came sooner and I got lucky. I would not worry about it until it goes beyond the TYD expected completion date.
AthteGlen: Be patient. Production pics did not appear in the TYD apps for 2 weeks after it said production was complete.

Never saw a pic of mine while being built, but the car making it to me in perfect condition was better than any pic I could have seen.

Mine has also been there 21 days now. It seems they just showed up at a bad time on the schedule. My TYD page has the current ship in port listed as the one it will come over on. The dates have been accurate so far. This next ship will hit Baltimore, Jax, and Houston. Attached is the schedule...

Good Luck!

Thanks for the schedule! I am also on Mediterranean Highway getting to Jax on the 8th. The odd thing is my TYD says it will be at the dealer on the 7th?

I hope your experience is better than mine .. my dealer date changed literally the day my car landed on port Jacksonville, then it pushed out 2 weeks to dealer, then it had no date . then it pushed another 2 weeks and showed up 1 day earlier .. what was bad .. it seems (at least my dealer) was totally clueless about it. As a IT pro .. I formally complained to CEO Porsche NA .. (VERY RESPONSIVE) .. and offered my team to fix the problem .. hehe did not take me up it .. but they did make it right. All we want is crisp concise updates and if there is a delay .. let us know and a short explanation would be cool.

Yikes, that sounds like a terrible experience! Was your car being held for some software update or the like, is that why it wasn’t released to the dealer? Where is this dealer located?

Thankfully mine is on the ship and it has left Emden, Yea!🎉

The Porsche tracking software is not fully accurate either. My dealer has a totally different date than the app has. He claims the dealer portal is far more accurate.

I agree. My showed up at dealer after seemingly being lost in production.

Just curious how you got the schedule sheet. When I download the pdf at PWL.de/en it keeps downloading week 9.
