Default Keyless Exit

Ok so I want to know what you guys do. When I park I get out of the car and I don't know if I am suppose to tap the door handle, hold my hand on it or what. Never seems to just work, I am always messing with it. What is the proper procedure?

shut the door, put finger tip directly on the "spot" - no swiping, or moving, just place your finger tip directly on it - the handle will retract, car locks & alarm set

Is the spot the indentation?

Yes that indentation, you can barely see it in this photo/article. I am glad I found this article, I just learned there is a key hole insert behind the handle for if your battery is dead and can't get inside the car.

Yup the spot is the tiny indentation - works like magic (at least it’s supposed to)

Car Locked - approach and handles will pop out - however, i did notice that after the car has been left unattended a day or so, the initial approach does not always actuate the handles....after initializing (for lack of a better term) "vehicle wakeup" i notice that, if the car then gets locked again (either with the key fob or soft touch on the door handle) the approach does actuate the handles

YEMV - Your Experience May Vary....maybe you could check it out and verify it as well - i do know the trunk, sorry, frunk lid, does not always open (key in pocket, hand swipe over the sensor) unless i have a water hose in my hand, in which case it will always open

I am sure I will hear about this, I don't lock my cars, maybe it's where I live and drive, but for 60 plus years it's worked for me so far, I do lock my SUV's that visit parking lots, but my "cars" do not visit parking lots

Mine NEVER worked constantly on either my 2020 C4s or the 2021 TTS.
