VIN ?

Car entered body shop on the 16th. SA says still no VIN. I thought vin was generated at this time. Can anyone help with this? Would like to track progress without having to involve dealer all the time.

Got my Vin from my dealer fairly early and there is the my Porsche site that follows every step, but behind what's happening several days from real time
