Default Car cover

The new 992 indoor car cover is pretty cool. The exterior is a silky smooth finish so it will be easy to dust off before folding for storage. The inside is a felt like microfiber.

Great info. I was curious what the material was. Thanks.

+1 It's a great cover!
I bought this style of Porsche cover for a 991.1 Turbo when it arrived in 2014 and still using it on the new 992 Turbo.

It's gotten a bit snug on the porkier 992, but still fits.

Here is the outdoor car cover. It is a much tighter fit. It has a clear plastic window so the license plate is visible. It also has too nylon straps with round grommet ends that you can optionally secure them under the front bonnet - instructions describe this as theft proof. Lastly, it has a drawstring to draw it even tighter. Somewhat surprising, the bag that the cover stows in is attached to the cover itself (in the front).

What? When/where did you get those? I've been pinging my dealer every week and he keeps saying they aren't out yet. Do you have Aero? I do, and wonder if that's the issue?

It may be but as I remember, the aero kit has 1) the front winglets which would fit under this cover, and 2) rear wing with downturned ends but I believe the width is the same (right?). If so it would probably fit. I can ship you this one if you want to test fit it. The key when putting it on the car is to start by covering the mirrors and then stretching to front and back. Once on it is a super clean fit. My cloth cab top is a bit 'grabby' which doesn't help. Coupe install much easier.

I received this one about a month ago. The dealer shipped it by mistake instead of the indoor cover.

Thanks for that offer. Super kind of you. I'll ping my dealer again and see what they say first. I had both for my 991.2 Turbo S (with aero) and thought the indoor cover was great, but wasn't a huge fan of the outdoor cover material, or the weird way the bad stayed attached.

BTW, I'm in Silicon Valley, about 90 minutes from Monterey...

Perfect! Just let me know. You are welcome to come down and test fit it in person. We will take some pics of the cars together!

I own a 991.2 Turbo ( no aero) and love the cover. I am ordering a 992 TTS with the aero.

Will the old car cover fit or should I order the car cover for the new TTS?

Thanks

I have a custom Covercraft Noah for the lady. Simply no room in my garage and this seems like the best option.

Ding protection, breathable and washable. I must say the fit is excellent and the car seems totally protected from the elements otherwise. I also like the generic look as not to attract any unwanted attention.

Does require a spray down and cool down before using but worth it IMHO.

Have the cover as well. Very happy with the product. Bag that it comes with seems a little flimsy like it’s a bag that could come apart at anytime. I hope I’m wrong! Regardless I’m happy with it!

Nice where can I get one. I like the soft indoor version with the emblem.

Mine, originally from my 991.1 (then 991.2 and 991.2 GT3 Touring) fits fine, though I don't have aero. See above post 4.

I'd be inclined to try before looking to replace it.

My dealer was nice enough to order a cover for a 992 non-"Turbo" w/ Aero, for me to "try on" when I go in next week. Will report back on how it fits. I'm having a rattling door panel piece updated to a retro-fit, non-rattling, version that Porsche installs when people report door rattles....
