Default Questions on options

I am spec’ing out a new 992 Turbo. I know you all are the experts, so please tell me, if I don’t get the body colored rear lid grille vertical slats what color will they be ? I have read that the PDK selector in Aluminum is less than impressive, thoughts or pictures? And lastly what about the Ambient lighting ?
Does anyone really use it, is it nice to have, thoughts on that please.
Thank you.

I was not able to select rear lid grille vertical slats in exterior color since I ordered a custom color. I did not select high gloss black either (I don't even remember it as an option... maybe I missed it or it's new).
I got the "default" and it looks like this:

Maybe others will post a pic of the rear lid grille vertical slats painted in high gloss black and in their exterior color, but I think the image you get with the top view in the configurator is probably pretty close to what you'll get.

I can't help with the gear selector - there are some photos of both types in other threads but neither of them look good (to me).

I did select the ambient lighting option and I actually like it a lot - there's flexibility with colors and brightness for different areas of the interior (e.g. footwells, door pockets, console) and when you are driving on a very dark road it's nice to have just enough interior light to find something you need without fumbling in the dark or flipping on the overhead. I like it, but it's really not a must have option.

I have seen some PTS colors with matched slats. That's probably some $2000 CCX option through Porsche Exclusive or something.

I have the colored rear slats - on a darker car, that looks a lot better.

With GT Silver, the Chrome probably looks fine; I personally would opt for black or body color; It is such a small charge, and adds just that tiny bit more detail / personalization.

I like the Ambient Lighting option. You can select the color and you can also select the brilliance individually for each of the four locations.

The aluminum fits in nicely with my leather inlays. I think it feels solid but softer to touch, especially the palm. Otherwise, you could question the value added and its more about preference.

However, leather steering column is quite nice if you are not an all black interior.

Thank you.
I have a CWM TTS and had my slats painted in body colour.
I also have the aluminium gear selector but its nothing special really and I quite like the ambient lighting in my car.

Sorcerer -- Sorry to necro this thread. Is your "Porsche" logo black or silver? I'm going with a Chalk exterior with the Gloss Black Sport Design pack and all the other trim gloss black. But can't decide if I want to do the Porsche logo black and body colored slats, or leave slats silver and do silver Porsche logo. Sometimes the Black Porsche logo sort of disappears.

The 'Porsche' logo is silver as I wanted it to match the sports exhaust system special silver tips. The turbo S logo is black.
