Default The Wait Begins!

Hey Folks,

Today was my freeze date. I submitted my specs, signed contract and down payment to my Dealer whom I have known for 30 years and bought numerous cars. Now the wait begins for a Gentian Blue TTS. Expected delivery April 16th.

I’ve done Euro Delivery twice before with my Dealer but with BMW (M3 and an Alpina B6) and was really looking forward to the same with Porsche but decided traveling probably isn’t a good idea (I’m a recent cancer survivor).

Traded my 991.2 C4S with powerkit and RWS for this TTS. I loved that C4S, the balance and handling were perfect for a non DD GT car. A few years back I tracked my M3 for 5 years with BMW CCA (Advanced) but that was awhile ago. Now I drive Street Cars so this will be my first TTS and I am looking forward to it and contributing to this Forum.

Cheers,

Chris

Dang Chris you're lucky. My TTS build freezes next week but my SA told me yesterday the tentative delivery to the dealership is 6/11. Hearing your situation makes me optimistic that it could get pushed up once my car is nearing completion at the factory. I hope you enjoy the hell out of your new car once you get it! I'm glad i ordered in winter because spring/summer is the perfect time to take delivery.

DAMN, I would be too excited to concentrate on anything but the sound of that 3.7L TT at full scream!
Need pics and a vid when she lands - GL!

Chris

Agreed, no better time to have an awesome ride than spring/summer! GL on your TTS and keep us advised.
Your input has made me go back to my SA and validate my delivery date. Fingers crossed it hasn't slipped...

Cheers,
Chris

Congrats. Mine is about to freeze next week (debated between Gentian Blue and Chalk for the last two months) and estimated delivery is 05/02/20 in Atlanta (track day included).
I feel the wait is part of the fun in the whole process. I already bought little things like color match keys and clear side markers. Please post pics when received to hold me over

Coming from a 992 C4S to my TTS I can say you won't be disappointed. Had many BMW's in the past, three M3's, M4 Competition and M5, 991 turbo etc but this 992 TTS is something really special.
I was fortunate in that my TTS arrived a lot earlier than was expected and I was not too concerned about that.
Good luck with the wait.....i'm waiting to get back out in mine after lockdown!!
