Anyone having any luck in getting a 992 Turbo (not Turbo-S) allocation?

They are out there - just have to search or wait a bit. I'm one back on the list at my preferred dealer. Had an allocation opportunity 3 weeks ago at another dealer trying to get my business back- but passed on it. At this point I may just roll with a '22 allocation as I really like having the next years car in the current year for some months. Right now you may get an allocation for late spring or summer on a car to be delivered in the fall - right when allocations for '22 will start to come out. You can hope for the best though and good luck for sure.

I’ve now been waiting for almost 3 months for a turbo allocation. Dealer told me he’s optimistic I’ll have one in the next fortnight for June delivery. If I don’t get an allocation I will order something else (F8 Tributo or Audi R8). It’s been frustrating to say the least.

Thank you for the responses guys. Seems there is plenty of supply for the soul-less electric golf cart offerings that Porsche has...ughhh. Personally, I'm not at all interested in giving up things that make noise and burn fossil fuel...but seems like PORSCHE and everyone else is full in, or soon will be.

I've just a feeling that the appliance manufacturers gonna be left with egg on their face when hydrogen is adopted for ICE (unless they feed it to fuel cells powering these soulless heaps of tin and plastic)

This woke culture driven campaign against motor ice is such hypocrisy given the consumption of plastic and rare earth metals by EV along with the unsolved problems of disposal of ‘renewable’ energy generation plant.

PS - good luck on gaining your allocation - in Oz I got one straight away with only 2 month wait till production

I waited 9 months for mine - after it arrives you completely forget about how long you waited, so consider that to be a temporary condition. I've now got the two perfect (IMO) cars in the garage that I hope will be long term keepers as the electrification of the automotive world continues (one of each: F/I flat six and N/A V12). Porsche and Ferrari are embracing hybrid/full electric (e.g. SF90, Taycan) and Porsche boasted about the 992 PDK being engineered to enable hybridization. The third spot in the garage is still there for the primary DD (currently a non ehybrid Panamera), but I have no doubt it will eventually contain something with electric motors or even hydrogen in it - I'll bet that what's on the horizon will offer amazing performance and truly hope that we can also realize real overall ecological improvement. Nevertheless, as a Rush fan (and perhaps I'm also some kind of paranoid prepper) I gotta hoard ICE in anticipation of the motor laws.

I feel I got very lucky getting an allocation for a turbo. My car is set for a June 18th delivery.

Our tuning partners at M Engineering are getting a Turbo S dropped off at the shop tomorrow morning. We finally have access to a test car that they can use for development of software and testing of hard parts to see what is the best way to maximize performance on this new platform. We have a lot to learn and we are ready to hit the ground running.

I noticed your location as Marco Island, our friends have a condo at the Madeira and we go all the time. My tts is getting delivered to Porsche Naples hopefully soon (it’s’ on the boat). Why are you selling? Any pics?
