2024 major change incomeing!? You guys see this?

The only actual quote runs "If we make good progress, all new 911 Carrera sold worldwide could be supplied with 100 percent eFuels as early as 2024". This sounds like the board member is saying that all 911s from 2024 could run on 100% synthetic fuels (by way of ECU tuning etc...), not that all 911s from 2024 must run on 100% synthetic fuels.
Everything else in that article seems like a gross misinterpretation of what the board member actually said, so I won't put too much stock in it.

This progression makes sense....
No new combustion-only after 2030
Hybrid and electric until 2035
Zero emission vehicles after 2035
VW/Audi has been playing with efuels for years...now it is essential.
Hybrid with a non-hydrocarbon fuel will allow absolute zero emissions in urban/high traffic areas and near zero or zero emission performance option for sport/distance. Sounds good to me.

The inevitable is coming. Just a matter of how long we can still enjoy the ICE engines. Evolution does not stop and actually driving a vehicle will become obsolete sooner than you think. Sad news for gear heads .

I believe there is a place for performance cars with gas engines for the future. Not only that they will perform better. They will not completely disappear.
