Do Turbo S specs change yearly?

Hi all, new to the Porsche world (other than admiring them from afar), and considering a 992 Turbo S at some point. I'm curious, does Porsche typically change the performance specs of the Turbo S within generations? In other words, will the second year of a new generation get performance boosts (no pun intended)? (would the 2022's get a HP increase based on previous gens?).
Also, are these ever in dealerships to look at? Definitely don't seem to be any in inventory near me.

The specs (and along with design and mechanicals) change when they do the mid-lifecycle refresh. This is probably scheduled for mid-2023 (model year 2024) or so.
Otherwise you might get different paint colors and some additional options added every year (e.g. the 2021 911s got some new leather packages and lightweight glass as options) but no mechanical changes.

I'm guessing the next increase will be an electric hybrid assist system, but that won't happen until the mid cycle refresh at the earliest.
When it does happen it will be a game changer ... they'll be able to add a couple of hundy of hp and even more torque in the blink of an eye, either working with the turbos or replacing them.
Pure speculation on my part, I have zero info or data to back it up.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
And no, there are no customer cars on the ground in the US yet.

They dont typically change (maybe 14-15 they added backup camera as standard). From there, typically .1 to .2 updates are minor - witness the 991.1 to .2. The 991.2 is a better car than the .1 but it was refinements (carplay, looks, interior has v little change) and a little more power (better turbos) - 20 HP to be exact. 991.2 to 992 was 60 HP and the 992 Turbo is as powerful as the 991.2 TTS and cheaper. So no for 2-3 years, you wont see any changes until the .2 then i think it will be a minor upgrade. I think they will change to something big in 5-6 years time. A lot of R&D $ goes into a 992 TTS - so think they will stick with what it is for at least 3 years. This is pure speculation of course and based on what we have seen in the past.
