Default 992 Turbo S Cabriolet being built-April/May *DELIVERED*

Looking forward to taking delivery in Stuttgart in April. Supposedly getting one of the first off the line then air shipping to the US so should be the first one here. When it arrives I'll post pics and let you know my thoughts.

Hoping to get a custom exhaust once I have it, but not sure if current after market options will fit. What are some you'd recommend?

The production line is still shutdown. I wouldn't hold your breath for on-time delivery of the car. If you're an American looking to travel to Germany, Euro delivery isn't very likely unless you want to be quarantined for a couple of weeks -- even flying private. I don't mean to be a buzzkill. Congratulations on the order and car! It's just going to require a little patience.

Yeah I wish I could say I was optimistic about your timeline but I don't think you'll be able to make it happen. Did you order the car? would love to see your spec

Also, above everything else, those turbos are going to have to sit at port for EPA delays too. that's a different motor than anything currently out...which is at least a 2-3 month thing for carb cert. But damn that car is going to be awesome!

Agree there will be delays. I'm taking delivery in Germany but having a logistics co airship it. Due to the virus we cancelled our trip (but the delivery still has to be in Germany). We were going to drive around for a week in Germany/Switz/Italy but that's out.

Yes I arranged specs in Jan. Was supposed to be ready end of April but I'm sure that will be pushed back. Regardless it will be on of the first turbo S Cabs off their assembly line. I dont have a print out because it wasnt ordered traditionally thru a dealer/website/form but directly with Porsche. I had to use the 992 4CS options list tell them what I wanted and then they'd email back what was possible on the Turbo S Cab. They hadnt even put together what was available on the Turbo S Cab in terms of options when I ordered in Jan so it was done casually. But I can give you a general list off memory;

EXTERIOR
White exterior
Front lift system
upgraded design ext lighting

INTERIOR:
Black Interior leather
18 way adaptive sport seats
int trim painted same as ext color (white)
white dials
aluminum shifter
aluminum pedals
aluminum door sills
illuminated door sills
upgraded Led lighting
Burmester upgraded stereo

There were some items I wanted but were not yet available. These included:
aero package
Turbo S on doors

all euro deliveries are cancelled, so unless you're buying as a european resident, you'd be pulling some ridiculous strings. half of europe is experiencing border stops, not sure northern italian alpine roads are going to be accessible unless you have a bicycle.

I also have a Turbo S coming in April. I arranged with the Factory for pick up and then will be driving through Europe for 2 weeks. I paid extra to have Porsche not close down just for me. I’m then flying my Private Jet back myself with the Car and then going to Disneyland. I also do not have a purchase order as I just called Porsche on the Phone and they handled the details.

Yea, I'm calling BS on this thread. Buying direct from Porsche? What a cost savings. Still doing a factory delivery, but you cancelled your trip, so you'll just get the car and hand it right back for the air shipment?

Sorry if you took it wrong. The car is awarded (given) to the Porsche Cup Champion https://www.porsche.com/internationa...rt/porschecup/ . That's me holding the trophy after Dr Porsche handed it to me. It's a unique situation. It was an honor to win especial since it was the 50th Year of the Porsche Cup and being the first American to win it in 13 years. Scroll to the right (on the Porsche link) and you'll see my VOLT Racing Cayman GT4. The Porsche Night of Champions was an epic experience.

Cheers!
