992 GT3 pop and vibration in the steerinig wheel when driving over a speed bum
Anyone has any idea what this sound could be? The "pop" along with a slight vibration in the steering wheel only happens when turning while driving over a speed bump, or any other kind of incline or decline.
I can more or less replicate this pop 90% of the time.

Not sure where you live. Has it gotten colder? When my 997 did this I also felt it in the steering wheel (because they are connected to the wheels). It also happens with my new Vantage on cold(er) days...

Take the car in to an expert or your dealer under warranty to diagnose.......as its tough to do so online....

this was the first symptom I had, dealer had no Idea of what was happening.
I put more km on my GT3 and finally the pop changed to a claclk-clack sound, it was a broken steering box.
hope you have good luck finding the issue

I have this too. its been getting progressively worse. I noticed yesterday I can make it clonk by going on and off throttle. I happened to shoot a video to show that. And it does it over slight bumps.
Video here >>>>> annoying pop
@1988 did you fix this? dealer?

Dealer fixed this when sound was located ( took 2 visits to dealer to find it ).
hope you can fix it ASAP.

Hard to tell from your video but mine does sometime like this when pulling into my driveway at times, which has a pretty steep angle to it. Never does it otherwise and have stopped worrying about it, seems to do it less as I have put more miles on it now that I think about it.

when I did steering wheel change, i noticed the main factory bolt that holds on the wheel to the shaft was pinky finger tight. that isn't exaggeration. does the wheel make the sound when you pull and push on the wheel? if so, that bolt may be coming loose. should be simple to see. just pop the airbags out which takes couple minutes and check the bolt.
