No factory manual that I know of - once you remove the three screws on the back, start at the edge by the rim of the wheel with a plastic pry tool - carefully try and release the rear cover from the front cover . . it takes some force . .. work your way around the trim endeavoring to separate the front trim from the rear. Use a think plastic pry to pry the bottom cover outward as the snaps on the top cover go "under" the back trim. The front trim is screwed to the wheel, so it wont come off until you remove the rear trim. Once you remove the rear trim, the front removes with a few screws that run throught the metal bridge pieces to the front cover.

It's not easy to unsnap these, and you will most likely break one or two snaps - don't worry about it too much - it holds fine even w/ a few broken snaps. I'm not near my shop right now, but tomorrow I can send you some photos of a removed trim so you can see where the snaps are. Let me know if you need some photos - I can post tomorrow if needed.

Yup - one of my least favorite tasks! Nerve racking on those expensive, fragile trim pieces!!

how do you take off these 4 plastic standoffs? I tried unscrewing them while holding the rear but they just spin. wanted to ask b4 trying to pry them off. would like to them new if they are push on but they got factory torque marks on them. not sure why.

couple additional tips for those that's looking to do the trim transfer.

1. when putting on the front carbon/plastic piece, line up the center circle first then click on the sides and the bottom.

2. those plastic standoff are slightly off set as you can see in the picture.. the marking in the back and front are to line these up so the contact metal piece and the horn base can slide along them without much friction. when you do the transfer, keep all the standoff position the same and the alignment the same. if you're using different wheel, check alignment of these 4 plastic pieces with the metal contact piece first. the metal piece should drop in without any difficulty. if it's binding, rotate the standoff bolts in the back to entire they all align before proceeding further.
