Default Insurance Recomendation

Wanted to see who you guys are using for insurance. I usually have about 5-6 sports cars at any given time that I put about 1-3K miles a year on. Currently using State Farm, they are really starting to creep up in pricing. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Same boat. I have five cars, three of them Porsche sports cars. I use USAA and last year my GT3 went up 43% with no tickets or other changes.

The advantage with them is that I can "store" each car with a click of a button which takes it off of everything but comprehensive. Then when I want to drive it, I un-store it with the click of a button. It significantly reduces my cost. USAA caters to military folks who deploy a lot so it just works out well for my situation too. There is a caveat in that once stored, the car needs to stay stored for >30 days to realize the savings and you have to un-store it the day before you drive it so you have to plan ahead.

Check out Porsche Auto Insurance. It looks like they are available in Georgia. I just switched to them (as my rates have skyrocketed at my old company, Amica). They were about 1/2 the cost. You pay based on how many miles you drive.

I used to be with them but now they have a cap of $300k on the value of a car. My car's MSRP is over that amount not to mention market value.

Which company did you change to? Is it an agreed-value policy?

Thank you for the info. Will Porsche insurance insure other brands besides Porsche?

Back to USAA. Not agreed value but they claim to use a 3rd party that determines vehicle market value when assessing claims.

You can also pay the extra $3 a month to get +20%.

+1. Have the exact same policy and Grundy is great. I had Hagerty the first year and it was $1,500 more and they would only set the agreed value at the price I paid for the GT3, not its market value.

I had the same experience.
Hagerty was close to $1600 higher.

I think most people use either Hagerty, Grundy or Chubb for Agreed Value policies. I was going to use Grundy since they are much cheaper than Hagerty, but it seems like they have a lot of restrictions & rules so I didn't want to risk it (they only want to cover accidents if it's driven for pleasure, going to car event, and don't want people to use it for errands or just a quick run to the store)

I'm insured with Hagerty now, but I really doubt pricing will be cheaper than State Farm, usually Hagerty is one of the most expensive (from my experience).

Hagerty quoted me a rate as if my vanity plate was “free car” w/the car parked and engine running in West Covina

What are peoples’ opinions on State Farm? I have an incredible plan with them and don’t see why most others are not suggesting them here.

Based on the suggestions, I’m going to take a look at Grundy
