Is this optioned? Standard? Some have them some don't.

They are easily removable. They clip in. I always remove mine and store them away. Some people throw them away or forget to put them back on, I guess.

I can't really figure out how this is a "neck" pad . . . mostly for looks, and seems it looks better without them.

Is there potential to damage/scratch the carbon fiber when clipping them in?

I guess anything is possible but they have plastic clips so doubtful they impact the heavy clearcoat that's on the CF.

These are required for North America only so they’re standard, not an optional piece. You wont find them in ROW cars, unless someone added them.

Only a NA thing, ROW doesn’t get them. I thought they were pointless but then had my nephew sit in the car and his head lined up right where the pillow goes. Guess it makes sense.

Fun fact these are always black unless you have a CXX seat project in which case they come in the same color leather as your CXX seat.
