I think TYD is fun with all its inaccuracies. The alternative is a verbal delivery date and then wait.
it gives a window into the operations.
Which model had you order?

I have the video of my 3rs that is entering the parking lot on the truck, made by the manager

How they can't be aware that a car is arrived?

It's just a Cayenne. Lock date of 4/2 delivery of 6/15. This morning I checked and it now says Freeze date of 3/21 and manufacturing starting 4/8 instead of 4/18(ish).
My GT3 also progressed faster. It felt kind of bad as others were having cars held at the port for MANY months and mine was at Emden for a few days.

I actually didn't want my GT3 early due to the weather in the Northeast and on the Cayenne don't really care that much when I get it - it was sort of an impulse buy b/c the local LandRover dealer pissed me off....I think Porsche delivers on an algorithm inversely related to how much you need or want the car.

In reality though I tend to hate stuff like ambient lighting, HuD, and innodrive so maybe that helps.

Every car that I have ordered (4 to date) I have had my SA screen shot the PSVMS to me.

I then check in from time to time and see how close the actual vs anticipated dates are progressing.
