There is 0 change in the carbon. Glossy or matt both available already.

Looks like they will cash in on the Weissach Package as an option for the GT3. Pure profit generator.

So a WP package GT3 is going to damn near approach ST money in short haha.

But you can opt out and suffer virtually no performance penalty. A stripper .2 GT3 will offer quite a bit of bang for the buck.

It'd be interesting to have a 5 lug wheel option

I'm sure you are correct but I don't understand why since it is a car designed for public roads and driven to the track. With soft grippy tires, flats are inevitable and very few owners or tow truck drivers have the equipment or knowledge to change a tire.

Not sure how 5-lugs would necessarily change that calculus.

Sure, a tow truck driver or roadside assistance might have the necessary equipment to change a tire on a 5-lug wheel, but so what?

Even with 5-lugs, the 911 isn't going to come with a spare, even a donut one.

You're still getting a "patch-a-flat machine".

So what difference would it make it if the car was center-lugged or 5-lugged? You have no spare, so why take off the tire?

If you get a flat, 11 out of 10 times (maybe even 12 out of 10) you're going to be flat-bedding to the nearest tire shop or Porsche dealer.

The GTS i ordered has 5 bolts .
i carry the tools to remove the wheels and repair a flat.
I also carry the renntorq in the gt3 with a jack.

Would still prefer 5 lug for easy swap of tires, center lock as is - is a pain unless you invest in the fancy torque thingy.

I seriously don't get all the hate for the centerlocks. I was anxious to get my first centerlocks after reading about them and seeing the debates on here but it really isnt that bad.

Only two things that are cons: Need-ish for someone to step on the brake for a front wheel and that devilish silver paste (nitrile gloves).

And I see having a super long breaker and torque wrench as pros.

Last time I changed out four wheels it took me 42 minutes. Taking my time. And going inside to ask my kiddo who was eager to climb in and step on the brake.

You're not getting anywhere faster if you happen to get a flat with five lugs.

All about marketing of the GT cars. They want us to think it’s a race car with centerlocks (but these centerlocks are not lighter nor more quickly changed like a race car’s, where you can use an impact wrench - specifically forbidden on the road cars).
