I was just in for my first service and the tech discovered an extremely small drop of oil on the timing chain tensioner bolt which they believed was from a faulty gasket. They replaced the gasket and bolt and as of right now - problem solved. Over my first 3,500 miles I think I've only needed to add about 1 to 1.5 qts of oil. FWIW I followed proper break in protocol but didn't pussyfoot it around.

 

I'm a bit shocked by the oil usage of some of the respondents. An update from my prior post but still only 2/3 quart added at 4000 miles and no discernable oil usage since. 7800 miles now.

 

I had to fill 1 qt every 4000mi on the touring and a got little further on the wing car. I did not follow break in. Just drove around getting a feel for the car for an hour and then drove it like I felt like. So figure 2qt between services.
