Is the 992 GT3 peak?
#31
yes no questions. and 993 964 even better.
but I no l longer have the believe of keeping cars forever.
when I fully ruin my 992GT3, remember you have first right of refusal l;-)
I don't agree on steering. if you drive just with one finger. you can feel everything on 992
most ppl use full hand
I use my other fingers to text you. thus typo. but the pointer finger feels every ripple on pavement. and a lot of steering wheel is from the a** not hand. like bikes or in your case motorcycle
I maybe wrong
always that chic like big
but I got over size once I started driving my dually. I parked that thing in SF lots. if you can do that. nothing is too big. just zoom.
I don't bother slowing down though toll booth with 44' behind dually at 65mph. I haven not destroyed toll booth yet. it's fine size ok
yes sold mine
5k hahahha
remember the pic I sent you. 85xx is where life begins.

Where does the 991 Speedster fit into this equation? Suspension and parameters of the 911R, engine of 992 GT3, plus the open top. The RS4.0, 911R, and the 911ST are the obvious top 3, but is the speedster involved in this conversation?

From: Mid-Atlantic (on land, not in the middle of the ocean)
I had a 991.1 GT3, put 43k road and track miles on it.
Within the past few months, I got a 991.2 3RS and 992 GT3. Have done 1-2k road miles and a few track days in each, though neither is properly set up for the track yet.
My favorite of the three on the road is definitely the 3RS. For the track, assuming all three cars properly set up with good tires, I’m pretty sure the 3RS will be my favorite.

diablo - no i am talking about the multiple 964 and 993 RS I've had.
maritime
ruby
polar
speed yellow
polar again
the 964 RS America - I had 2 of those also. they were not worth any hype at all.
the 964RS is really light and feels cool but compared to a 91 NSX they: sound worse, handle worse, etc etc.
also regarding my comments on 911R- yes as I said it was loose - I mentioned it's the best for hooning. aka driving *** first through corners. when we had the 70th anniversary of porsche, i did a 70 burnout in the parking lot of the dealership in my R.
the only 997/991/992 i regret selling are my R and my black 4L the only 993 was my gt2.
everything else replaced by a better car.

The only way to get a 992.2 GT3 is to be on the list today. I am there. The 992.1 is sold out.
A guy gets on the list after buying many previous Porsche cars. My dealer just makes sure that previous customers get all new 911 allocations. It's all MSRP.
I can wait a long time. I have a 2023 Porsche 911 Turbo that I ordered in 2022. It's goes to the dealer for it's first service with a loaner next month.

Agreed. The question is, why? Is it the wider track? different RAS? Double wishbone? More mechanical grip? The easy answer is all of the above. The harder one is, in what order? Never driven an R so I don't know.
Also, there's nothing wrong with loose. Sharp is precise. Loose is fun. In longhoods, that's the difference between wider cars like the wider ST and 3.0 RS vs narrow R and 73RS.

You are confusing being on a list and having an actual allocation. The latter is for a real car that exists. A list means nothing until the allocation is real. I'm not saying you won't get the .2 GT3 your dealer has you on a list for, I'm just stating the facts. MANY people are on lists and don't end up getting cars.
