Seems the car is coming earlier. It will be launching in october instead of december.

Has anybody “reserved” one and have more info?

I’m on the list at my small OPC and asked while mine is in for the windscreen recall and they haven’t a clue!

At least they were honest and manufacturing in Germany is going through seismic change so it’s anyone’s guess except Porsche internally🧐

Does that mean that dealers will have allocations coming in next couple months?

@GTS2022 It depends when they will start production - August/September sounds right if production starts on October.

Based on prior history, would one expect .2 markups to be similar to where .1 slots ended - or, would they generally be even higher than what prior evolutions were going for?

Porsche is still struggling to make GT3RS cars and finish all S/Ts by year end. I highly doubt they are going to be building the new GT3 in just 3 months that hasn't even been launched yet, while still building all of these 992.1 cars, while also filling the 992.2 GTS demand

They have already started producing and pushing out though 992.2 base and gts cars. The GTS is allegedely an extremely complicated car/engine.

Based on speculations if the GT3 is not really drastically changing then I dont see why production cannot start immediately.

Anyway we will definitely know in a couple of months or so if the first month of production is oct/nov or next year.

GT3s are produced in Zuffenhausen while all carerras are in Stuttgart. So at least production lines should not interfered. Except the inventory of overlapping parts.

Sounds like a good time out of warranty...

It's all irrelevant until the car is actually announced and orders open. No need to swirl on "when will production start" until then.

All 911's are produced in Zuffenhausen, which is a borough in the city of Stuttgart. GT products were produced in Weissach-Flacht at one time, but not the modern units. R&D is still in Weissach.

Thank you for correction. I thought otherwise.

Out of curiosity, when did they stop making the GT cars in Weissach-Flacht?
