Great write up and love how you are enjoying the car, I bet the car loves being driven so much. Enjoy many more miles on the car!

Nice reading this. I currently have a 22 C2S that I put 18k in one year. Landed an allocation for a GT3 which locked and is coming in November. Also ordered it with sofas and the goal is to put between 15-20k a year on it. Living in Oklahoma it’s not hard to put the miles on though since fun is always at least 3 hours away.

Great write up. Put 2000 miles on mine in the first month. Not worried about the mileage either.

BTW Randy Pobst was at Laguna Seca while I was there. And he was driving. I got to talk with him for about 15 minutes. Such a nice down to earth guy. Oh, and I passed him on track. OK, I just had to officially write that. Because 1. He's kind of a hero of mine given how much I love Laguna Seca and the fact that he's set many of the fastest lap times in a bunch of cars working for MotorTrend (I've watched all his videos), and 2. He could probably pass me going in reverse if he was trying. I think he was just coaching someone and showing them the line.
A cool unexpected bonus to a great weekend

Great write up! I’m at 11,500 and everyone gasps when I tell them. Drive hard and often!
Where did you put the sound deadening? What brand? How much does it help?

Soundskin Pro Plus: doors, rear shelf, seat back, rear wall, wheel wells, quarter panels. Makes a big difference. Not cheap to put in, but so glad I did it. The drone at 80 driving down the freeway (especially for multiple hours) was just not pleasant. Got old fast. Now the engine still sounds great at high RPMs, but the drone and other unwanted noise (tire, road, etc) is significantly reduced. Can't remember actual numbers, but installer did a before and after dB test and the difference was big, especially with the windows up. And, the full aural experience is just a windows-down away.

My least favorite GT3 sound is the whoosh of the engine cooling fan(s). (Does that bother anyone else?) If it was a PC I'd swap in some Noctuas.
Do you find the sound deadening helps with fan noise? Thank you.

yes remove the OPF. Done the on the GT4 and with Akra titanium exhaust it sounds pure and menacing .. regardless of Akra or not, OPF delete will definitely help with the sound but watch out for drone.

Yes, it does help with reducing the engine cooling fans noise although I can’t honestly say I remember what it sounded like before or how annoyed I was by that particular noise.

Oh, also forgot to mention that the "thermal management" on this car is incredible. Not a super fair comparison, but managing engine oil temp in my 991.1S could be an issue. I tracked more then. Got that car up to 290 before I put third radiator in, and even then saw an occasional 280 after I did (usually got off track to let it cool down when that happened). On the flip side, it could take 10-15 minutes sometimes to get the car to temp (I never drive my cars hard until they hit at least 180) on a cool morning (I'm talking Bay Area cool, not Alaska).
This 992 GT3 is on such a different level. Sometimes it's already at 180 two minutes after I start the car. And I don't think I've gotten the car past 210 on track, running it hard. Only downside is the air vent blows warm air sometimes even when on Lo. So you have to use AC, even if it's cool outside.
Amazing.
