My order is locking at end of August and I inquired to dealer about getting the car with the Cup 2R from factory and he does not have the option in the system to do it. Has anyone been able to order these from factory in Canada (or US)? Otherwise I'll burn the first set and get R as a replacement.

Are they the same specs as the 991 3rs? I have a set brand new with labels on them if interested.

The R tires are not a factory option. They are only available after sale from the Porsche dealer or a tire seller.

Why would you want those anyway, as you need to break in the car, by then they will be long done

My car comes end of sept and the pic shows me P zeros. My parts guys is looking for Cups 2s and also R as an option after the break in as mentioned above. On tire rack they are both back ordered currently in the US

Good point. A lot of videos where mentioning the « optional cup2 R » tires. I guess it will be a second set after breaking car and toasting the OEM tires whatever they will be (GY/Pirelli/Michelin).
