I had some warranty repair delays/challenges with one of my GT cars. PCNA offered to extend to factory warranty for 2 years, so I have 6 instead of 4, and am super grateful for the support.

a responsible dealer will point a person who asks this question to the warranty book/language … and then give their practical experience .
manufacture is the one who pays or won’t pay the warranty bills…they have that specific language about not covering track issues for a reason .

you can extend warranty
if someone did a simple google search prior to posting we could avoid this thread

doesn’t stop her from texting me asking where the closest starbucks is
ps we all know the OP is not tracking nor will he keep his car through the 4 year warranty.

Porsche will sell you a 6 or even 8-year factory or aftermarket
Keep good records, build goodwill with the service dept, all the usual stuff
Damage or wearable items are never part of warranty/prepaid service plan. You can buy separate coverage for some of that stuff these days
It is odd if you’ve bought cars recently these things are new to you….

it has nothing to do with if I had bought a car recently or not. The dealer told me that you can have extended warranty on other models of Porsche for even up to 10 years but NOT for this car. Now what’s your argument?

The language in the warranty allows Porsche to avoid legal liability in this case, but in 99% of cases it will be covered. If your dealer is warning you ahead of time that they won’t cover you, you should find another dealer (at least for service issues).
It is very uncommon for a warranty claim to be denied for track use, unless there was extraordinary abuse or some other extenuating circumstances that make the claim unreasonable.
There is a fair amount of discretion on the part of the dealer and you don’t want a dealer that is telling you they’ll refuse a claim upfront.

2. dealer can push for good will and PAG PCNA sometimes will listen. it really is case by case, how old the car is may not matter.

1. Is Porsche warranty on RS only for 4 years and non extendable?
2. What happens if there is an issue with the engine after 4 years? Does one have to pay out of pocket?
3. Another thing that surprised me, not sure if I heard it correctly from my dealer, was that this 4 year warranty does NOT cover the parts which get damaged while tracking the car.

in general porsche will cover issues that occur while tracking, ei trans/motor problems, during the 4 year warranty period as long as you don’t alter the car, so just leave it stock if you are worried and it will be fine. You can put on different consumables like non OEM rotors and pads, just don’t touch anything to do with the motor and you will be fine. I used to swap exhausts, but after being pulled from tracks for exceeding sound limits I stopped playing that game. I had some issues with my 991.2 RS and Porsche covered them without a question. So leave the car as is and enjoy it, silly to have one if can’t enjoy it as intended by Porsche
