LOL. I didn't say that I went with them yet, but I have similar OMP ones for my GT4 (at half the cost) and really like them for the track.

They are pricy, no disputing that. I went with them because I was at the Ring and I had no choice, couldn’t find any others that fit the 992.

With that being said. The quality is top notch!! Anodized, etched with Manthey and added conical washers are attention to detail.

The fact is many guys there were running their equipment and if they made sub par stuff their reputation would be tainted.

Tldr: expensive yes. Do you get what you pay for, I think so. Is it worth it to you, I don’t know. But I hope I never need to use it.

Well, I just closed the deal on a Futura Super Sport trailer, and so oddly enough I need to get a tow hook, honestly, $415 is excessive, and that's saying a lot because I generally have no problem buying exponentially more expensive items then a lesser counter part IF I can see the value. This seems overkill. Anyone have any other links for tow hooks that work as well, but cost half as much?

This will work, no? Rennline Front Tow Hook - 911 : Suncoast Porsche Parts & Accessories (suncoastparts.com)

2023 GT3

Thanks!

The ones from Burkhart look the same but in black.

That is the one I am getting. I was worried that the clasp would bang around though but it comes with a rubber bumper on back side so that it doesn't damage the car's bumper. I watched a video on it.

this is what i use. It comes with some spacers. Mine on GTS could not hit the bumper, it stops before. I put the rubber on it anyway. You can also snug it up into any position and mine never moved.
YMMV my top speed was just over 130mph. I'm slow.

Factory is great, IMO. I bought a second and run OEM front and rear.

It should depend on the position when you start the threading - it has limited rotations - count how many it takes then re- thread it starting at the point which will get you horizontal by the end of the tightening process?

Hmm it’s not perfectly horizontal, but it’s close. I’ve never really noticed. I believe it’s just the luck of the draw on the thread orientation.

Does anyone know if the manthey tow strap fits on a base 992?

I see conflicting information about it.
