Are dealers currently charging ADMs on new GT3 orders?
Hi,
I’m new to this forum and I’m in the market to purchase a new GT3 in PTS British Racing Green.
Before I head to my local dealership, I’m wondering if dealers across the US are still charging ADMs on the GT3? With the recent pullback of the market, ADMs are generally not being charged on most standard models….but the GT3 is not a standard model.
I have a relationship at my local dealership, but I can’t say it’s a super strong relationship. I previously bought myself a Panamera GTS there and a Macan for my mom.
I just want to know what kind of position I am in when I discuss things with my dealer. I am in a strong market in Greenwich, CT so that may not work in my favor. I am willing to purchase from a dealer outside of my region if anyone here knows of one that is no longer charging an ADM on new GT3 orders. I already have a Montana LLC. I’m also willing to pay a small ADM….say below $15k.
if I’m not being realistic with my expectations, please let me know.
What is the current lead time on a GT3 order?
Thanks in advance!

There are other threads on this ...
That said, your issue at this stage of the proceedings, before you even get to adm or not, is whether there are any dealers out with GT3 allocations hiding between their sofa cushions. Otherwise with as many people as they have on their waiting lists, that are unlikely to have any unspoken allocations for the next several years no matter what the stock market does because the supply is so short. Most dealers I know won't even bother adding to their lists any more because they don't believe they'll get enough of any current or upcoming GT car allocations to fulfill their current lists before the 992 gen ends.
The only way around that is paying a massive ADM to a dealer that will let you skip the line for a price, or to just buy a low mileage flipped car that won't be your spec. Unless we see a 2008 level crash combined with a gazillion constrained parts magically showing up to massively increase supply, I'm afraid that is the way it's going to be for the foreseeable future.
But it doesn't hurt to go talk to your dealer and start the conversation with them. Things do change and you've bought cars from them before so you never know, but be prepared for disappointing news. And nothing ever gets done if you don't try.

First, good luck actually getting an allocation. Second expect to pay an ADM. The good news is there are a lot of local Porsche dealers in Fairfield County so you can stay local, and have several Porsche dealers within 50 miles.

Thanks guys. I have searched and read through other threads on this topic. I was hoping to find the most recent information about GT3 ADMs specifically.
I thought that allocations might still be an issue,…guess they are!
As suggested, I guess it doesn’t hurt to inquire with my dealer about availability and what their current ADM would be. Based on what you’re saying, seems like the ADM in Greenwich would be at least $30k on a GT3. Is that a fair assumption?

Now that is nuts. Not sure why anyone would want a Taycan over a Tesla if you want an electric car. Tesla tech is much further ahead and way cheaper. Taycan section of RL is full of complaints charging issues electronic gremlins etc.

I have a Model 3 performance for the fiancé and had a Turbo Taycan. The Taycan tech definitely needs help, but to drive, the Taycan is way ahead.

A good friend recently took delivery of a GTS from Fairfield. No ADM. I believe that’s their policy. Getting an allocation, is a completely different story..

Actually, they were very fair with him. He ordered the GTS, and originally it was going to be a year wait. He purchased a 2020 C4S cab for the year wait at nearly original MSRP. A month later, they had someone dropout on a GTS allocation. All in, he waited about 7 months. They gave him $8K less than he paid on the trade. Far less than what it would’ve cost to even lease the car for 7 months. By far, the best treatment by any dealer I’ve heard. Fairfield is very close to Greenwich….

Car market is getting softer
though this is not uniform across the board
different companies, different models within the same company are getting softer at variable rates
I can tell you ADM on Gt3 will be lower than what it was 6 months ago . The problem is there is few data points as allocations are rare.
Also no one knows how long they are going to produce the Gt3 for as Porsche historically does not overlap gt3 and gt3rs by much. They already started building RS so most likely there will be dwindling allocations and that will favor the dealer. As they k ow production on Gt3 is ending and these cars always will sell well .
so overall talk to your dealer and see what they have and ADM like commodity is negotiable

So true. I just looked at the paperwork for my '16 991.1 GTS which I specced, ordered and waited for. $130K sticker. Bought it for $124K, about 5% discount. When will these days return?

Thanks for the feedback guys. Market has softened in the last couple of months, but it’s far from a soft market!
I will talk to the sales manager at New Country and see what they say. I’ll also stop into Fairfield to see what they can offer. Expectations will be low, unfortunately.
If my pursuit of a new GT3 order fails, do any of you know of a British Racing Green preowned car for sale? Second choice is Irish Green.
Thanks!
